Feline Conservation Federation’s African Safari Sweepstakes Fundraiser

OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES

1. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

2. Purpose:  The Feline Conservation Federation’s African Safari Sweepstakes is a fundraising project, and all net profits will be used to further the goals of the FCF to preserve, protect, and propagate wild feline species.  The Feline Conservation Federation is a charitable 501 (c) 3 organization.

3. Eligibility. The sweepstakes is open to anyone 18 years or older.

4. Entry. Eligible persons may obtain sweepstakes entry forms by visiting the Feline Conservation Federation’s African Safari Sweepstakes official registration page, www.felineconservation.org and downloading a page of our entry forms.  For each $10 donation mailed in, one entry into the sweepstakes will be issued. 
Mail:  Eligible persons may enter by completing an Official Entry Form available from FCF Sweepstakes, 141 Polk 664, Mena, AR 71953, any FCF member, or by downloading and printing from the Feline Conservation Federation’s African Safari Sweepstakes official registration page and mailing the completed form along with your donation to FCF Sweepstakes, 141 Polk 664, Mena, AR 71953.  You may also hand print your name, address, zip code, telephone number, and email address on a plain 3" x 5" card.  For each $10 donation, one entry into the sweepstakes will be issued.   Checks should be made payable to “Feline Conservation Federation”.  All entries must be received at 141 Polk 664, Mena, AR 71953 by January 15, 2010.
From Feline Conservation Federation members:  Eligible persons may obtain entries by completing an Official Entry Form provided by a Feline Conservation Federation member or hand printing your name, address, zip code, telephone number, and e-mail on a plain 3" x 5" piece of paper and giving that to the Feline Conservation Federation member.  For each $10 donation, one entry into the sweepstakes will be issued. The FCF member will give you a receipt confirming the donation and entry (or entries) in the sweepstakes.  All entries must be received at 141 Polk 664, Mena, AR 71953 by January 15, 2010.
The Feline Conservation Federation, nor it’s principals, employees, or members (collectively referred to as “the Sponsor") will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, "post-due," misdirected, or illegible entries, or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or the Sponsor.
 
5. Prizes and Odds. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries to be held on January 16, 2010.  The odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries received by January 16, 2010.
Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a 6-day, 6-night African Safari to South Africa for two (2) people.  The Safari includes six days and six nights accommodation at either Zulu Nyala Game Lodge, Zulu Nyala Heritage Safari Lodge, or Zulu Nyala Nyati/ Ndlovu Lodge including three full meals per day and two game drives per day.  International airfare for 2 people to South Africa is also included in the prize package.  Total value of the prize package is approximately $7000.  Other tailor-made tours within South Africa and neighboring countries may to be made through Adventure Boutique, Inc., Cave Creek, AZ. Toll free phone number 1-877-515-1303.  Additional people may book, in conjunction with the winner, at the special discounted rate of $2950 per couple. A third person may join at the special rate of $975 and children under 12 pay 50% of the discounted rate.  These rates do not include domestic or international airfare.
The winner has one year from the drawing date to select a date and take the trip. The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Costs and all other expenses not specified as part of prize are the sole responsibility of winner.  The winner will be responsible for his or her own transportation to the point of embarkation of the international flight.

6. Selection of Winner. The drawing for the winning ticket will take place on January 16, 2010 in Mena, Arkansas.   The winner need not be present to win.

7. Winner Notification and Acceptance.  The winner will be notified by telephone and/or U.S. Mail. Return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Winner may waive their right to receive prize.  No substitutions allowed, except that prize is subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winner is solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prize. Winner may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within ten (10) days of date of postmark. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release within ten (10) days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner's disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to an alternate winner. Except where prohibited, participation in the sweepstakes constitutes entrant's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. 8. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor.  The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this sweepstakes as solely determined by the Sponsor. In the event the sweepstakes is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the sweepstakes, The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the sweepstakes.
 
9. Limitations of Liability. By entering the sweepstakes, the entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action, and entrant waives his or her right to a jury trial for such disputes, claims, and causes of action; (2) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.

10.  General Release. By entering the sweepstakes, contestants release the Feline Conservation Federation, Adventure Boutique, Inc., and the Zulu Nyala Group, any other promotional sponsors, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners, and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the sweepstakes or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).

11. Sponsor. The Feline Conservation Federation’s African Safari Sweepstakes is sponsored by the Feline Conservation Federation, whose decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the sweepstakes shall be final and binding in all respects. The Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing, or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the sweepstakes.
