The FCF Society of Young Professionals is dedicated to empowering the next generation of zoological and conservation leaders through mentorship, networking, advocacy, and professional development.
Mission:
To connect, educate, and inspire emerging professionals in the feline conservation and zoological community.
Goals:
- 🐾 Build a strong pipeline of future industry leaders
- 📚 Provide access to professional development opportunities
- 🏛️ Engage young professionals in legislative advocacy
- 🤝 Foster networking between licensed facilities and 18-30 year old members
- 🌎 Support global wild felid conservation initiatives
The Society of Young Professionals is being launched as a pilot initiative with the goal of building a strong, scalable foundation for future growth. This initial phase will allow us to evaluate engagement, programming effectiveness, and leadership structure while refining the model for long-term success.
Our vision is to expand both capacity and geographic reach in the coming years, ultimately establishing a broader network that can serve young professionals across multiple states. By starting intentionally and strategically, we aim to create a sustainable program that strengthens the future of our industry nationwide.
